A Legacy of Acrobatic Gymnastics of San Antonio
Established in 2010, Acrobatic Gymnastics of San Antonio has spent more than 15 years introducing athletes to the sport of Acrobatic Gymnastics and developing competitors at the local, state, regional, national, and international levels.
Led by owner and USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame coach Vladimir Vladev, AGSA combines decades of experience in the sport with a commitment to strong fundamentals, disciplined training, teamwork, and the long-term development of each athlete.
A PLACE TO GROW
Today, AGSA welcomes athletes at every stage of their journey—from those discovering Acrobatic Gymnastics for the first time to athletes pursuing competitive opportunities at the highest levels of the sport. Through our recreational, developmental, and competitive programs, we strive to create an environment where athletes are challenged to grow, supported by experienced coaches, and encouraged to become confident teammates both in and out of the gym.
OUR STORY
From a Vision to a Legacy
Established in 2010 by Vladimir Vladev, Acrobatic Gymnastics of San Antonio was built around a passion for the sport of Acrobatic Gymnastics and a desire to develop athletes through exceptional coaching, strong fundamentals, and meaningful partnerships.
In just 15 years, AGSA athletes have represented USA Gymnastics on the international stage at the Pan American Games, World Cups, World Championships, World Age Group Championships, and the World Games. Along the way, AGSA athletes have earned prestigious placements as international finalists and medalists, building a legacy of excellence that extends far beyond San Antonio.
Through every stage of AGSA's growth, one thing has remained constant: a commitment to developing the whole athlete. At AGSA, success is measured not only by medals and competitive achievements, but also by the character, confidence, resilience, teamwork, and relationships athletes develop along the way.

OUR LEADERSHIP
Vladimir Vladev | Owner & Program Director
Vladi has dedicated decades to Acrobatic Gymnastics as an athlete, coach, mentor, and leader in the sport. Originally from Bulgaria, he brought his experience to the United States and has since played an influential role in the development of American Acrobatic Gymnastics.
During his years as AGSA's Head Coach, Vladi developed athletes from the foundational levels through elite international competition. Under his leadership, AGSA athletes earned national titles, Pan American medals, World Cup medals, World Championship and World Age Group medals, and represented the United States at some of the highest levels of international competition.
Vladi's influence also extends beyond AGSA through decades of service to USA Gymnastics as a National Team coach, clinician, and leader within the Acrobatic Program. In 2023, he was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame as a coach, recognizing his contributions to Acrobatic Gymnastics and the development of the sport in the United States.
His coaching philosophy emphasizes strong fundamentals, positive coaching, and developing athletes as individuals both in and out of the gym. Today, as AGSA's Program Director, his experience and philosophy continue to guide the program and the development of the next generation of AGSA athletes.

At AGSA, athlete development is about more than learning skills. We believe in building strong fundamentals while helping athletes develop confidence, discipline, resilience, responsibility, and respect.
Acrobatic Gymnastics adds something uniquely powerful to that development: partnership. Athletes learn that success depends not only on their own preparation, but also on communication, trust, commitment, and the ability to work toward a shared goal.
Whether an athlete is discovering acro for the first time or pursuing competition at the highest levels of the sport, our goal is to provide an environment where athletes are challenged to grow, supported through the process, and encouraged to become strong athletes and teammates.

Acrobatic Gymnastics is built on trust. Athletes learn to communicate, support their partners, work through challenges, and understand their responsibility to the team.
